Privacy Policy
BrokerLab is a decision-support tool for your own portfolios. This policy says, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we will never do. If anything here is unclear, write to us — the short version is: your data exists to serve you, and no one else.
What we collect
Account. When you sign in (email or Google), our authentication provider (Clerk) gives us your email address and name. We use them to identify your account — nothing else.
Portfolio data you enter. Portfolio names, your chosen focus sector, your mandate (risk limits, order sizes), and your decisions on proposals. This is the substance of the product and is stored so your analyst can work for you.
Broker API keys. If you connect a brokerage account, your API keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, decrypted only server-side at the moment of use, never logged, never displayed back, and never shared with the AI model. You can disconnect at any time, which also clears synced holdings.
Holdings and activity. Positions synced read-only from your broker, the signals and notes your analyst produces, and a permanent audit record of proposals and your decisions on them — kept so you can always trace why something was suggested.
What we never do
We do not sell or share your personal data. We do not show ads. We do not trade without your explicit, per-order click. The AI model never sees your credentials. Market and news data we read is public information; your portfolio data is not part of any model training.
Where data lives
Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (US region) and served through Vercel. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Each of these processors only receives what it needs to perform its function.
Your choices
You can archive a portfolio (stops all analysis), disconnect your broker (removes key material), or ask us to delete your account and its data entirely by contacting us. Note that the audit record of past proposals and decisions exists for your own protection and is deleted with the account.
